Andronikashvili, Andronikovi, Endronikovi – Georgian princely and noble family from Kakheti. Some Andronikashvili were Catholics, they lived in Kartli and Imeretia.

ancient princely family, originating, according to Georgian legends, from the Byzantine emperor Andronicus I Komnenos (1183-1185). The Georgian king David the Builder (1089 -1125) gave away (1116) his daughter Katu, she also Katai (? – 1150) for the brother of the Byzantine emperor John II Komnenos – Isaac Komnenos (1094-1136). From this marriage the son Andronicus Komnenos (1120-1185) was born. When his cousin Manuel Komnenos (1143-1180) was Emperor of Byzantium, Andronicus Komnenos with his children visited his mother’s homeland – Georgia. He was cordially received by his cousin King George III, who gave Andronicus “cities, fortresses and lands” in Eastern Georgia (Kakheti).
